Marshall
Community and Technical College and HMDA Explore Workforce
Opportunities
On May 25, members of the HMDA marketing committee
and staff met with the Advisory Committee of the Marshall
Community and Technical Colleges Information
Technology Division to learn more about its programs
and how they can support businesses locating in KineticPark.
The Advisory Committee discussed new programs being
considered. The Marshall Community and Technical College,
in cooperation with the Nick J. Rahall II Appalachian
Transportation Institute, is in the process of developing
two Associate Degree programs of study in Transportation
Systems Technology and Transportation Management Information
Systems.
Graduates from these programs, in addition to graduates
from other Community and Technical College programs,
will provide KineticPark businesses with a pool of
highly trained employees. These businesses may also
be able to offer experience to students with focuses
in high-tech areas through internships.
