Hill Shifts on Back Side of KineticPark

There has been a shift in the hill on the back side of KineticPark, causing some trees to fall. The shift can be attributed to extremely heavy rainfall and may have occurred sometime early Monday morning.

HMDA and City staff began immediate work Monday morning to make arrangements to remove fallen trees and protect the property of two homes nearby.

HMDA director Bill Toney acknowledges that the shift is a concern and that many questions need to be addressed. "We are determined to successfully fix this problem so we can move ahead."

HMDA will keep the public updated on the progress of corrections on this website.
