The
Huntington Municipal Development Authority was established
in 1984 to spur economic development in Huntington
and obtain financing for promising projects. HMDA
is doing what works for Huntington in the following
ways:
|
|
We
create community partnerships to accomplish mutual
goals. |
|
|
We
look toward the future of Huntington and develop
long-term plans for success. |
|
|
We
put together the financing that makes good projects
possible. |
|
|
We
market the benefits of our community and recruit
outside businesses to locate here. |
|
|
We
develop land and prepare places that will help
our economy grow. |
|
|
We
oversee projects from start to finish or in individual
phases. |
|
|
We
manage grants for projects finding the
resources that are needed and making sure the
job gets done right. |
In
addition to KineticPark, other projects that have
involved HMDA include Amazon.com. the Huntington Industrial
Center, the Robert C. Byrd Institute for Advanced
Flexible Manufacturing, Huntington Renaissance Center,
Douglass Centre and the West End Fire Station.
